Ronald Theodoor Lindgreen was born on 21 Januari 1916 on Tjimahi - Java (Indonesia). Lived in The Hague, the Netherlands since 1926 where he finished the Royal Art Academy and enrolled in the New Artschool under guidance of Paul Citroen, in Amsterdam.
